What screws are best for timber sleepers?

For decking timber sleepers we recommend using heavy-duty sleeper fixing screws. These are designed for large timber fixing applications and offer superior holding power, while remaining durable.

Do you need pilot holes for sleeper screws?

To increase accuracy, reduce installation resistance and prevent unintentional splitting of the hardwood sleeper, it is recommended that pilot holes be formed in the centres of the screw hole locations prior to sleeper screw installation. The pilot holes are particularly beneficial for use with hardwood sleepers.
